Purpose and Mission Statement of the Council

The purpose of the NeTseO Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America (the Council) – incorporated on May 20, 1929 in the state of Texas and chartered by the Boy Scouts of America, Inc. (the BSA) – is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal and mental fitness.

It is the mission of the NeTseO Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America, to serve others by helping instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical decisions during their lifetime in achieving their full potential. The values we strive to instill are based on those found in the Scout Oath and Law.
